STUDENT RESEARCH PAPERS

Editorial Note

The Journal, for the first time, carries student research papers.  This issue restricts the papers to final year students in Agricultural Economics at the University of Peradeniya.  They are based on research reports submitted in partial fulfillment of the requirements for the B.Sc. Agriculture degree.  They have been selected on the basis of evaluations carried out by their supervisors.  The intention is to give recognition to outstanding student research.  The full reports are available, both with the Department of Agricultural Economics and the Agriculture Library of the University of Peradeniya, to those interested.  Students from other Universities are also encouraged to submit papers for publication in forthcoming issues.  They must conform to the aims and scope of the Journal and be forwarded through their supervisors.  They will be subjected to the usual evaluation procedures.
